The exhibition might be closing but documentation is ✨forever✨
Playing with the daylight filtering through the gallery space today @wellwellprojects | Open 12-5PM!
Working on this exhibition was equal parts exuberance and exhaustion. I’m fortunate to have so many folks within my community to support the process. I am filled with gratitude.

Wrought Iron Garden Gate, Hand Stitched Organza and Embellishment
This month, there are two pieces on view in Portland that mark a turning point in my sculpture practice. 𝘿𝙖𝙮𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙞𝙣 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 was completed in early January 2024 in the middle of a crowded studio of glitter, flamingo tchotchkes, tulle remnants, and photograms. While I didn’t know it at the time, this sculpture started in 2021 with the purchase of the wrought iron feature at a garage sale and a helpful neighbor driving it back to our duplex. The plan? To grow a bed of flowering vines around its frame in the garden bed. The reality? I grew around it instead.
Daydreaming is now a method of fabrication that combines material flirtation with tender camp intentions. It embraces intuition and offers me space to loosen up — directly imbuing artwork with a part of myself to energize the form towards 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 In the most affective sense of the word.
𝘿𝙖𝙮𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙞𝙣 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 in on view at Well Well Projects (@wellwellprojects) 12/6-12/28 with open hours Saturday and Sunday 12-5PM.
